WARNING: This entry is very gross so I strongly suggest you don't eat directly before you read this.

For those who are still with me, this is an honest to goodness true story. I was not an acutal witness to this, but my best friend was.

My friend was in the lady's room washing her hands when a woman came in, walked into a stall almost directly behind my friend. Without closing the stall door, which by the way is a door that is not broken and can in fact be closed and locked, the lady proceeded to place a foot up on the toilet, hiked her dress up, and took a tampon out of her you-know-what. She then walked to a trash can which is placed next to the entrance to the bathroom and tossed the used tampon. Then she opened the door and walked out of the place without washing or anything.

My friend says that this is the second time she has witnessed this from that lady. It is sick. My first question to my friend was, "Is she overweight?" I asked because I know how tiny the stalls are and if she is large, maybe she couldn't "fit" into the stall all of the way. My friend replied that in fact this woman is very large indeed. But there is a handicap stall that is big enough for a wheelchair so therefore is big enough for a large person. Both times though, this lady didn't even walk near that stall. Instead she opted for the really skinny, tiny stalls and so because of that, she changed her tampon in front of God and the world. Okay...in front of whomever happened to be at the sinks.

My friend saw all of this because even though her back was to that lady, there a a mirror that runs the length of the bathroom almost and is as tall as a normal public restroom mirror is. So while washing her hands she witnessed the whole thing.

My question is, where do these dirty people come from? And why are they able to get jobs anywhere? I say we tattoo forheads of people who are dirty and sick like her so that you know before she even says a word. I would vote that these are the types of people who should be tattooed with a particular mark:

People who force the rest of us to watch them do things that require a stall door to be shut
People who do not wash their hands after using the restroom
Violent criminals
People who have commited sex crimes
Murderers
People who commit any crime against a child and/or animal
People who cheat, lie, and steal
and anyone else I can't think of, but who is sick, twisted, and disgusting.

I propose that sicko lady be the first in line for her "I'm a dirty pig" tattoo on her forehead.

Hair today, Church tomorrow

Another day of Church and relaxing. A nice day after the hectic Friday I had. Worked all day then got my hair braided in the evening which took 6 hours so I didn't leave my friend's house until 1am. We usually do my hair on Saturday morning but she was really busy Saturday and Sunday so Friday was the only day available to her. But we got through it.

Now I am looking forward to another week of work with my new 'do.

What kind of idiot takes a shower before working out? Well, me of course! I was out helping my husband start our new garden after work, then we ran to eat dinner at McDonald's. When I got home, I meant to work out, and then get a shower to wash my hair. Well guess what I did? Yep. I took a shower then when I got out, I realized I still hadn't worked out. So I am sitting here trying to figure out if I should work out and get another shower, work out and not get another shower, or just not work out.

I'll figure it all out later.

I love Dave Chappelle. That man is just a comedy genius. If you haven't seen it, you are really missing something. The episode about Rick James and Eddy Murphy's big brother Charlie is just the best comedy I've seen in forever!

If you want to see clips of his shows, especially the Rick James one, go to this link.

Sickly

Warning: Big baby entry ahead!

So I caught the cold from hell late last week but it didn't really kick in until Sunday. By Sunday night I was miserable my throat was sore, my nose congested and I was so tired I would have paid someone to put my out of my misery. Monday it got even worse but I went to work anyways and wound up over medicating myself with cold pills. That just made everything worse. I was already medicine heady and I made it worse by taking another cold pill.

Now my nose is sore, red, and swollen from all of the tissue I've had to use these last few days. But I feel much better otherwise!

Living

What does it mean to really LIVE? Most people I know would answer that question with responses like, "To climb Mt. Everest", "Bungee jumping off the highest bridge", "To go to a Superbowl game with my favorite team playing", "To win the lottery and travel the world".

Few people would say that to really live is to wake up in the morning, get ready for work, drive to work listening to your favorite song, working and making money to pay bills, going home to a grateful dog, eat a good dinner, work out, read a good book, and watch a good night of television before doing it all again. But to me, that is really living!

Of course my opinion changes depending on my mood. When I am walking down the Las Vegas strip with money in my pocket and a whole week of sleeping in, good food, and gambling ahead of me, I think that is what truly living is all about. But on days like today, I disagree.

I slept in until 9:30am, spent the remainder of the morning watching some tv and hanging out with my puppy. Around noon we both laid down and I read a little bit and then fell asleep with the window open so a nice fresh breeze was coming in. About 2pm I wake up and my husband comes home from working overtime. Dog and I go downstairs and hubby and I decide to go shopping. I get ready and we both head out to an afternoon of shopping and walking around downtown. With a couple of bags in hand, we go back home and I take a long hot bubble bath and read more of the book I am into now. Then I think of this topic to put into this blog while I am toweling off and thinking to myself that "this is really living".

Imagine, to a homeless person or a quadreplegic the day I just led was probably really living to them. To a person who has no family, no friends, no money and who can't read, my day was probably really living. To a person who is sitting in ICU with a dozen bullet holes in their body from a robbery gone bad, my day was probably really living. To the teenager lying in bed dying of cancer, my day was probably really living.

You don't need a million dollars or a parachute to really live. All you need is the attitude to enjoy what you have and to realize that someone somewhere does not have even half of what you do.

Enjoy your life and live it to the fullest. You can't go wrong with that!

Super Spiritual Sunday

It's been at least five years since I have stepped foot in a Catholic Church, or any church for that reason. My husband and I keep saying that we should start going to Mass every Sunday, but it just hasn't happened. Well this past Sunday we went for the first time in years and afterwards we went to lunch and then the movies to see "Passion of the Christ".

Needless to say, we love the church we go to. Since it is mostly students, you can wear jeans and tees which is nice. I hate dressing up. Hubby is even considering becoming a Catholic!

By the way, the movie was great. Very emotional. If you have a sensitive stomach, I would stay away though. They are very very detailed with the physical abuse Jesus went through hours before his crucifixcion. Even up to the crucifixcion it had it's stomach tossing moments. The last scene was the most emotional for me though. Just the fact that He has risen after all of the crap that he went through did something to me. It was just beautiful.

Busy Bee

Man, oh man did the days fly by! I have totally neglected this blog for too long. Almost everyday I think of something to put in the blog, but I never find time to actually get online to type out the entries. It is already past my bedtime and here I am typing away my guilt.

Just to give you an idea as to how busy I really am: Well, the book I am currently reading (see upper right corner of screen for link) is taking me forever to get through! I usually read at a much faster pace.

To add to my already full plate. I have a list of "to do" items:

Spend more time with my cats. They have been emotionally neglected since I got my new puppy two months ago. The pup needs constant attention or he will eat everything in sight including bills, shoes, and coins to name a few. It wouldn't be so bad if the cats loved him, but they don't. So they stay upstairs and the dog downstairs. I can't be in two places at once. But I really need to spend more time with the kitties.

Burn cd for dad. I have been meaning to do that for the last few weeks. I just can't seem to find the time! And I go see my parents very soon so if I don't get it done before that time, I will be mailing them a package. I hate doing that since they only live 2 hours away and it is a shame spending money on postage. But I promised him this gift so I must deliver.

Exercise more. Books, cats, and cd burning aren't the only things being neglected. I haven't used my new Gazelle Elite in a while. I was doing it daily. Now I am down to two times a week if that. It is partly laziness, and part being too busy. The real reason is poor time management on my part. I have a very small window every night in which to get my exercises in and each time I make up some lame excuse why I should wait until later. By the time later comes, it is too late and I choose going to sleep at a decent hour over staying up until the wee morning to exercise.

Clean! My house is a mess! Not dirty, just messy. Papers are EVERYWHERE! It is insane how much paper is taking over my home. Empty envelopes, bills, ads, newspaper, magazines, catalogs, ect. It's really getting bad. I need to just go through every stack and throw some away, shred others, and file the important things.

Sleep. I need to sleep now so that is the first thing I will be doing on my to-do list tonight. Pleasant dreams!
